At Firs Primary School, we have high expectations of the children’s behaviour and encourage respect for others and self-discipline. We strive to raise children’s self-esteem so that they are confident and have a sense of pride.
This term we are launching a new reward system for behaviour/attitudes to learning. Class Dojo is a popular reward system that is used in many schools across the country.
Each child will be given their own Dojo character and will gain points for the following attitudes: (FIRSY 5)
Fascinated- they inspire and encourage others.
Independent- they get on with their learning.
Respectful- they use their manners.
Sociable- they get along with others and can work as part of a team
You can do it- they keep going and don’t give up when things are hard.
Not long now until 21 children from Firs will be performing their very own song on stage @DerbyTheatre with @sinfoniavivauk. We are very excited and can’t wait to tell the story of ‘Energy’. Come and see us Tuesday 25th February at 7pm. #VivaEnergy
What a great end to the half term... This morning in Lively Laurels we looked at our finished art sculptures, complete with the captions we typed in computing. We even got some of our parents in to have a look. Have a happy and safe half term holiday everyone!
