In maths today we are applying our knowledge of numbers 1-5 when learning to tell the time. The children used the clocks in school to make the o’clock times. We put the big minute hand on the 12 and moved the small hour hand to change the time. Can you have a go at making your own clock and using it to tell the times – 1 O’clock, 2 O’clock, 3 O’clock, 4 O’clock and 5 O’clock.

Spiritual Journal

Today we will be looking at ‘Picture news’. We look at a picture that has been in the news recently and discuss it with the children. Please look at the picture with your child and ask them:

Who do they think these people are?

Where are they people in the cars going?

What di you know about the army?

How do the army help people?

Tell your child that army are helping people by giving Covid tests to the people that want to travel to France.

Why do you think the army are helping out with this?

You could then play some ‘soldier’ games such as marching around and counting steps, making an obstacle course or joining in with this dance.
