Throughout the year we have lots of exciting events for the children, parents and community and Firs.

As events are planned, dates will be added to this page. Some of these events will be carried out within school, whereas others will be a school trip.

European Day of Languages: 26th September

Wednesday 13th October or Friday 15th October.

Children will be going to Haddon Hall. There will be a voluntary cost to parents to ensure that this visit will go ahead. 

 

Wednesday 20th October

Parents will be invited in for a Tudor Craft afternoon.

Anti-bullying week: W/C 15th November

Inter-faith week: W/C 8th November

Friday 3rd December

Children will be going to the National Space Centre. There will be a voluntary cost to parents to ensure that this visit will go ahead. 

 

Wednesday 16th December

Parents will be invited in to school to create a foam rocket with their child.

Safer Internet Day: Tuesday 8th February

Friday 28th January

Children will have an in school visitor ‘Sublime Science’ There will be a voluntary cost to parents to ensure that this visitor will go ahead. 

 

Wednesday 16th February

Parents will be invited in to school to allow children to share their Computing work with their parents.

World Book Day: 3rd March

British Science Week: W/C 5th March

Children will be going to Eyam. There will be a voluntary cost to parents to ensure that this visit will go ahead. 

Thursday 7th April

Parents will be invited in to school to make a model Eyam village with their child.

Parents will be invited in to school to make canopic jars with their child.

 

W/C 9th May: Year 6 SATs Week

SATs

The dates for Year 6 SATs 2022 are:

Monday 9 May English grammar, punctuation and spelling papers 1 and 2
Tuesday 10 May English reading
Wednesday 11 May Mathematics papers 1 and
Thursday 12 May Mathematics paper 3

It is essential that all year 6 children have 100% attendance and are punctual throughout SATs week. Click here for more information.
